PHR School Supply Drive and Salybia Mission Project Donations

    April 11th, 2008

    ***********************************************************

Physicians for Human Rights (PHR) School Supply Drive

Please donate any extra school supplies (pens, pencils, markers, paper, etc.) to the bucket located inside the library to help the Portsmouth library continue to serve the local community! The library can make great use of the supplies that we students just have lying around. The bucket will also be present during the 4th semester sale. Every little bit helps so please donate!

You can find the PHR Donations Bin to your right as your are exiting the Library!

    Tutoring at the Portsmouth Library

    February 24th, 2007

Ross PHR Portsmouth Library tutoring program This morning Inem, Austin, Micah and I all took a trip to the Portsmouth Public Library to tutor local students. When we arrived, we were surprised by the librarian who asked us if we were the “French teachers.” Apparently, there was a little miscommunication, because she expected us to be tutoring kids in French. After we explained that we were Ross students there to tutor kids who needed help with their homework, she quickly walked around to find some students. Inem and Austin went to the back of the library to help a few students with history and agriculture. I sat down to help a girl with her Social Studies homework, and Micah began helping a girl (Franchesca) with her math homework.
