Thanksgiving Meal for the Elderly
Have you been looking for an opportunity to give back to the community? If so, please join us for a Thanksgiving meal at the Grange Home for the Aging in Portsmouth. We will be celebrating our day of thanks by sharing with the elderly community. Please note, due to scheduling conflicts, we have changed the date to Saturday, November 24th from 12:00-2:00.
When: Saturday, November 24 from 12:00 – 2:00 pm (and during the week prior if you want to make decorations)
Where: Meet outside the library to take the bus
How: We need all kinds of people. You can volunteer to make decorations, serve food, or just make a dish (we have a menu, and you can pick an item to make!). Email kendracampbell@mac.com if you’re interested in volunteering.
Who: Anyone!
The Menu:
Baked turkey with stuffing
Mashed potatoes
Cranberries with sauce
Green beans
Corn
Rolls
Pumpkin pie
Brownies (donated by Tomatoes)
Apple Cider
Please let us know if you can cook any of these items. We will need enough food for the 12 residents, and the volunteers. More than one person can make each dish.
